BUS AND TRUCK ACCIDENTS

Bus and truck accidents have been on the rise for the last several years leading to serious injuries and significant numbers of fatal traffic accidents. In 2007, there were over 80,000 large truck, and over 15,000 bus accident crashes causing serious injury or death.

Among the many possibilities, trucking accidents are often due to equipment failure, tire failure, driver exhaustion, exceeding maximum loads, failure to secure loads, and difficulties in seeing small objects. State and Federal legislation is designed to improve safety by regulating these carriers. However, with over 2 million registered trucks on our highways (and who knows how many unregistered) the risk for serious injury or death is quite high even with these regulations in place.

Bus accidents occur every day for a variety of reasons, including driver fatique, inattentiveness, sudden stops and starts, running red lights. Bus accidents often include passenger vehicles, taxis, pedestrians, and bicyclists. Defective roadways, defective parts or tires, improper maintenance or inadquate training may also be contributing factors to both bus and truck accidents.

At Ginsburg & Associates, we regularly represent individuals who suffer serious injuries, such as brain injury, paralysis, shoulder dislocation, or wrongful death, in all kinds of bus and truck accidents involving single or multiple vehicles. Pursuing civil court remedies for these accidents is often complicated by the involvement of multiple owners, multiple insurance carriers, and complex rules designed to discourage private lawsuits against municipalities. We work with our bus and trucking accident experts to quickly and thoroughly evaluate the cause of the accident and determine fault.

If you or a loved one has suffered a loss resulting from a bus, truck, or taxi accident, contact Ginsburg & Associates. We will aggressively pursue all possible remedies and compensation available through civil courts.
